    A clinical trial of studying the feasibility of using the Deep TMS H System in augmentation of antidepressant drugs, for the treatment of resistant depression, took place at the Hadassah Ein-Kerem Medical Center, Jerusalem, and Be'er Ya'akov Mental Health Center, Israel.

    The trial found treatment using the Company's device in conjunction with antidepressant drug therapy to be safe and effective.

  • Safety and Feasibility Study in Treatment Resistant Major Depression

    This study evaluated the safety and feasibility of H- coil rTMS in the treatment of patients suffering from treatment-resistant MDD at the Shalvata Mental Health Center, Tel Aviv University, Israel. The study begun in 2006 and was completed in the beginning of 2008. 

    Three different H-coil designs were tested (H1 coil, H2 coil and H1L coil). 64 patients were enrolled and assigned as follows: 23 to receive H1 stimulation, 22 to receive H2 stimulation and 21 to receive H1L stimulation. Out of the 64 enrolled patients, 53 have completed the study and 11 were dropouts.

  • PTSD Double Blind Sham Control study of DTMS combined with exposure to the trauma

    Brainsway is pleased to announce that it has received the final results of a clinical trial performed at the Hadassah Medical Center to explore the efficacy of Deep TMS in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The principal investigator of the trial was Dr. Moshe Isserles. The final results are for 26 patients (out of the 30 who enrolled in the trial), each of whom received at least 8 treatment sessions (the minimum amount required for treatment).

  • Bipolar Disorder - Double-Blind Placebo Control Safety and Feasibility Study

    A double-blinded and placebo-controlled clinical trial has begun at the Shalvata Mental Health Center to explore the efficacy and safety of Braisnway® Deep TMS in 50 subjects with bipolar depression, currently treated with mood stabilizers and previously unsuccessfully treated with antidepressant medication.

    The trial is expected to be carried out over the course of 7 weeks in respect of each subject.
